I love technology and using it in my classroom. I have use power point to present to my students, but most of the time I use Smart Board. Most of my experince with watching presentations is powerpoint. I really want to make my lessons more engaging and have more options for my students to present.
I have had almost no experience using presentation tools. I am a newbie :) I would like to use some in my preschool classrooms. They are all aware of and interested in technology. I have taken some educational technology classes here... a few over the summer. The instructors have used the Smart Board a lot, but I have not seen any use of power point that I can remember. I'm way excited to learn something new!
I have used powerpoint to present subject matter and do other lessons. I have a Smartboard that I would also like to be able to utilize even more. My expectations that I have for this class is to be able to get some more useful information that I can use to not only teach to my students but that my students can use on the Smartboard or computer that will enhance their learning.
I like going to classes with presentations that are elecronic. It holds my attention more, and hopefully, the presenter gives the notes, either electronically or hard cop. I have used presentations at scc or sic, if there is a need to give visual information. I feel they are very basic, and would like to enhance my skills.
I would like to be able to get information on making presentations more interesting/using the program at capacity, have time to practice new skills.
In addition to classroom experience, I have presented at professional conferences and currently teach professional development in our district for all of our state and district assessments.
Over the years I have used PowerPoint, PhotoStory, Surweb, etc. I have created a few websites -- the first one was html coded. Most recently I have been presenting with a smartboard, use SharePoint team sites, symbaloo, and have a weebly site.
Please respond to the blog that I've specified for your training and/or class. Mahalo!
