I present often and actually use Smartboard Notebook more often than not as I abandon PP years ago. I want to learn about Prezi.
I desire to increase my abilities using Power Point.
Correction. increase my abilities to avoid Power Pointlessness.
I have use power point before but I would like to make it more interesting to the children. I have not played with the new version and hope to learn more about the new additions to the program.
Some presenters do an excellent job using PowerPoint to target visual learners. I think a key to using PowerPoint is using it as an aid but not as your entire presentation. A mistake that is easily made with PowerPoint is using it to present verbatim and your audience is able to read on their own.
Use of powerpoint, publisher,
I have been teaching for 14 years. I have done some presenting although not a lot. Our school just got a smart board in the spring in the library but we haven't been really trained on how to use it. I have taught kids how to use Powerpoint but don't know all of the details of how to make it more spectacular. I am always looking for different tools to teach kids how to present topics.
I have seen some presentations with/using PowerPoint. I use a PowerPoint that someone else made for each lesson on Storytowne and I quite enjoy it. I like it because it helps me to get everything in that I am suppose to get in during the week.
I do not know any alternatives to PowerPoint. So I guess I will learn something new today. I hope I will be able to remember what I learn.
I have seen others use power point presentations, my kids have created them for school, however, I do not take the time to create them myself. I think that often when power points are used in presentations the presenter just read what is there and it can be boring.
My expectations for this class are to learn how to make presentations more interesting and interactive.
I have presented many time throughout my college experiences. I have always found it to be easier to present when I have created a PowerPoint. I have created and used many PowerPoint presentations with my students. I am excited to learn other engaging ways to present materials. I am currently in the Glogster class and am really excited to use this resource with my students.
I have done PowerPoint presentations, Prezis, SmartBoards, projectors, labtops. I love using technology when presenting. People are more engaged when they have a visual to go with the discussions. These tech can be frustrating when they don't work though.
My expectations are learning more about tech I don't know. I would also like to learn more about Prezis!
Please respond to the blog that I've specified for your training and/or class. Mahalo!
