Bio
John Zakimi Kelly has a B.S. in Elementary Education and a M.Ed., with an emphasis in Literacy Education. He taught for 10 years in the Elementary classroom, with the final 4 years as an eMINTS teacher. Currently John works half time as an Educational Technology Specialist and half time as Assistant Principal at Washington Elementary in the Salt Lake City School District. His duties of technology integration include: trainings, classes (online & in person), workshops, consultations, and classroom demonstrations for administrators, teachers, and students. Over the past four years, John has regularly presented at several state conferences - UCET, SUECON, URSA, CTE, & TEDxCSDTeachers. His state endorsements are: ESL, Reading (Levels I & II), Educational Technology, and Administration. He is both an eMINTS certified teacher and trainer. John served on the Utah Coalition for Educational Technology (UCET) Board from 2012-2014, is an adjunct professor at Westminster College, facilitates online courses for the Utah Education Network (UEN), and is the proud father of three children.
